Name: Karina Tin

Major: International Business

Pledge Class: Jack A. McKenzie

Family: Scissors

Why did you join APhiO? I knew a lot of people that were in it that encouraged me to join, and I also really enjoy doing community service.

Why this Excomm position? I wanted to help MZ in some way and I figured, as a business major, what better way than Finance VP. I also thought it would be a good position to learn from.

Favorite hobby? sports, especially martial arts

Favorite quote? Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understandings, in all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”

Your thoughts & hopes for the future of APhiO? To continue strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, and to grow together in leadership, friendship, and service.

Which was your favorite/memorable Service project? My pledge class service project at Glide Memorial. I’d done a lot of community service before joining APhiO but had never worked at a soup kitchen before. It was a new experience at a different type of service for me, but it was also amazing just being able to bond with my pledge brothers and create memories with them.

What do you have to say to the incoming pledges? APhiO will consume your life this semester, but it’s totally worth it. =)

If I could change the world… I would make everyone a good driver. Life would be so much less stressful and people would chill out a bit.

Any last words? I survived the Kingsley.=P

Why did you join APhiO? A friend actually recommended me to do it

Why this Excomm position? Hmm, I guess it’s cause people think I’m really good with math, which I think I’m alright with. Hahahha

Favorite hobby? I love to drive to far places

Favorite quote? There’s too many (:

Your thoughts & hopes for the future of APhiO? APhiO still has plenty of room to grow and each day, we learn from our mistakes etc. In the future though, I hope that people see what APhiO really does and how we impact our community. So to basically gain more acceptance.

Which was your favorite/memorable Service project? I liked Kindness Kitchen a lot

What do you have to say to the incoming pledges? Know your information and bave fun!!

If I could change the world… I would literally make homework easier for me right now
